First overseas branch of GAT livera Karate foundation was established in 2014, Previously known as Shotokan Karate Association of Maldives, Later Rebranded as Shotokan Ryu Karate Do Association Maldives registered under Ministry of Sports of Maldives.
Under the guidance of Shihan Rivoi Prasanna, this association is participating in various tournaments representing Maldives Karate Team.
